Skirmisher Publishing LLC has released in PDF format its long-awaited book The Noble Wild: An Animal Player’s Handbook for d20/OGL Role-Playing Games (176 pages, $17.99, ISBN 0-9777211-1-6, SKP E 0801). It was written by Lee Garvin, author of the widely-acclaimed Tales from the Floating Vagabond and the Control conspiracy role-playing game.

It will be popular with everyone from groups that want to try all-animal or mixed animal/humanoid parties, to players who want to expand the options for their animal companions and familiars, to game masters who are looking for interesting and unexpected foes to run against their players.

Love the cover. There's actual interaction other than vicious combat going on between the characters. I'd love to know what the fox is laughing about.  The cover reminds me of illustrations from my copy of "Aesop's Fables".

Have fun!
Steve

P.S. - Does this make "Quactica" the "Ignoble Wild"? Grin

I just wanted to mention that I made a press release about Noble Wild over at EN World. I took it upon myself to do so, since there wasn't one there yet, and a number of gamers who'd potentially be interested in it read that site. I hope nobody minds!

I think it's a good idea. Without any market research (though I believe others have done these numbers) ENWorld seems to be one of the more influential sites for people to get their d20 news, perhaps not for all systems.

I'm just glad I managed to resist the urge to post that the official music of The Noble Wild was Savage Garden's "Animal Song."

I want to live
Like animals
Careless and free
Like animals
I want to live
I want to run through the jungle
The wind in my hair
And the sand at my feet

No, No, No!  The official song of The Noble Wild is Bloodhound Gang's The Bad Touch! Grin
