‘At the Shrine of Othrys’ Update #5: Color Maps Unlocked!

Thanks to the 141 people who have thus far backed Skirmisher Publishing’s Kickstarter campaign for our “At the Shrine of Othrys” fantasy RPG and fiction project and eleven days in funded it 137%! When we hit $4,000 with this campaign we unlocked our first stretch goal and can now commission artist Wilhelmina T. Thrasher to provide full-color rather than black-and-white maps of the interior areas that will appear in the Shrine of Othrys.

We will continue moving forward with unlocking the next of the two-dozen colorful and exciting stretch goals we have created for this project and when we reach $5,000 will provide backers with a PDF copy of the “Speed Round 5E” guide to remote tabletop gaming.

This publication currently in development is designed to make online 5th Edition games smoother, quicker, and more pleasant and will include tips and guidance on teleconferencing; use of virtual tabletops and features associated with them like windows where maps can be displayed; and preparing for, running, and wrapping up sessions. It will have detailed sections on Combat, Characters, Spells, Monsters, and Virtual Play Tips, along with a Lexicon and Rules Digest, and probably be about 150 pages in length.

If we are able to unlock this book as a stretch goal we will be able to do more with it than we otherwise would have been able, to include commissioning a number of custom illustrations from fantasy artist Amanda Kahl.

++ Within the next day will send out a backers-only Kickstarter update with a coupon that supporters of this project will be able to use to obtain for just 20¢ copies of a 20-page universal sourcebook called simply “Speed Round” that we released in May. This publication is an Electrum bestseller at DriveThruRPG that sells there for $2.99 and its system-free contents will appear in the expanded 5E-compatible book as its appendix of Virtual Play Tips. ++

Thanks again to those of you who have already supported this project! Please help spread the word about it so that no one who might be interested in it will miss out. And if you have not yet backed “At the Shrine of Othrys” please check it out and come on board with it so that you can enjoy all of the great things we are doing with it!
