‘At the Shrine of Othrys’ Update #4: Artist Wilhelmina T. Thrasher
Thanks to the 117 people who have thus far backed Skirmisher Publishing’s Kickstarter campaign for our “At the Shrine of Othrys” fantasy RPG and fiction project and eight days in funded it 113%! We have now begun moving forward with unlocking the two-dozen colorful and exciting stretch goals we have created to tie in with and complement this project.
In Update #2 for this campaign we looked at some of Skirmisher Publishing’s capabilities and accomplishments and how they will help guarantee the success of this project and ensure we fulfill it to the highest possible standards for our backers. In that update we noted that this project is a collaboration by our top game developers, writers, and artists and in this post would like to introduce you to one of them, Wilhelmina T. Thrasher, who will be creating the dungeon map for “At the Shrine of Othrys” (along with any encounter area maps associated with stretch goals we unlock).
Wilhelmina is an author, illustrator, cartographer, and game designer living in the state capital of Kentucky, which is neither Lexington nor Louisville. She currently writes, illustrates, and designs maps for Skirmisher Publishing— to include those for its beautiful and bestselling In the Footsteps of Hercules system-free sourcebook — and is the author of too many Cthulhu Live scenarios to count. When not working with a pen Wilhelmina runs gaming events for her local library and sews her own masks.
“Having spent some time in real life catacombs, caverns, and sewers, I can’t wait to produce a map for this project that has that perfect balance between the real and the fantastic that makes a dungeon worth delving into,” Wilhelmina said.
If we hit $4,000 with this campaign we will unlock our first stretch goal and be able to commission Wilhelmina to provide full-color rather than black-and-white maps of the interior areas that will appear in the Shrine of Othrys.
Thanks again to those of you who have already supported this project! Please help spread the word about it so that no one who might be interested in it will miss out. And if you have not yet backed “At the Shrine of Othrys” please check it out and come on board with it!
